Autofocus: The Car in Photography

Cars are a ubiquitous aspect of life, yet sometimes it takes a photographer’s eye to make them visible. Marta Weiss, V&A Senior Curator of Photography, will present photographs that range from the celebratory to the surreal, drawing parallels between two 19th- century inventions – photography and the automobile – that still have a tremendous impact on our lives.
