The Children’s Library is open in its new location on the second floor of the Dixon Building. Please refer to this page and Children’s Library newsletter for future information. The Mary Alice Fortin Children’s Art Gallery is closed.
Preschool Story Times
Story time is a wonderful way to capture the imagination and introduce your child to a love of reading. The Children’s Library offers free story time programs, specially designed for children. Preschool Story Time is for children 4 years of age and younger and is available most Mondays and Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. from October through December and in April. Storytimes will be Thursdays only January through March. All Children’s Library story times are thematic with stories, shared songs, and arts and crafts projects addressing the program’s educational theme.
School-Age Programs and Clubs
Our School-Age Programs and Clubs are offered November
through April on select Saturdays. This season, for school-age programs, we will have Art 101 with Jason Merigold (for second grade and above), and Floral Design with Vickie Denton (for kindergarten and above). For clubs, we will have Family Book Club (for independently reading school-age children) and Craft Club (second grade and above) with Samantha Merigold.
