Over the summer, visitors and program attendees may park on the east side of The Four Arts campus. We will announce additional parking options for the convenience of members and patrons as the 2026-2027 season approaches in the fall.
Definitely not! The Four Arts will continue to offer a robust slate of programming for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, which we look forward to announcing in the fall as usual.
Programs typically held in the O’Keeffe and Rovensky buildings will be temporarily relocated during the project, with particular thanks to our Palm Beach community partners for generously providing the use of their spaces. Changes during the project are as follows:
- The O’Keeffe Speaker series (now on Mondays) and the Sanda and Jeremiah Lambert Concert Series will take place at the Royal Poinciana Chapel.
- Films and screenings, including Met Opera, will take place at the Palm Beach Day Academy.
- All other programs will continue to take place on the Four Arts campus. The east side of the campus—comprising the King Library, Dixon Education Building, Demonstration Garden, and Hulitar Garden—will remain open, serving members and patrons as usual.
- The Children’s Library has been temporarily relocated to the second floor of the Dixon Education Building and continues to present its regular programming in the Hulitar Garden.
As we are remaining open throughout the project, we will be taking advantage of our newly updated Hulitar sculpture garden to present an outdoor exhibition in the coming season.
No, the King Library will remain open during its normal hours throughout the project. But please remember parking at The Four Arts is limited. Carpooling, drop off and pick-up, and rideshare services are recommended.
For safety reasons, and as approved by the Town of Palm Beach, cyclist and pedestrian access to the Lake Trail where it traverses the Four Arts campus is closed, as it intersects the construction site. On-site signage provides information on the route back to the Trail.
Work is permitted Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Saturdays, only quiet work is permitted from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and all work is permitted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No construction work will take place on Sundays.
We began construction in May, including the heavy demolition work, in order to take advantage of the island’s off-season and minimize disruptions to the neighborhood. As the project continues, work will only take place during the hours permitted by the Town of Palm Beach. We are working closely with the Town and our neighbors to minimize any inconveniences.
For safety reasons and following town regulations, the west half of the campus will be fenced for the duration of the project.
The Four Arts is taking proactive steps to ensure safety for pedestrians around our campus while construction is underway, including fencing around the site and wayfinding signage for detoured paths. As an additional safeguard, crossing guards and flaggers will be onsite to redirect pedestrians and ensure safe street crossings during busy periods.
