Join us to read and write poems! Everyone can enjoy the art of poetry because poems incorporate words, numbers, rhythmic patterns, and experiences that are familiar, abundant, and ever-present in our lives. You will use a poetry cube that describes six elements of poetry, and a poetry card that explains and illustrates the mathematical structure in each of nine different forms of poetry, to help you explore how words, numbers and patterns are woven together in a poem to create its visual appeal, vivid images, pleasant sounds and flowing rhythm.
