John Mauceri
Music on the Silver Screen: A Brief History

Conductor John Mauceri is the winner of multiple awards, including a Tony, Grammy, Olivier, Billboard, three Emmys, and Columbia University’s Ditson Award for his championing of American music in a career that has spanned over a half-century. In his lecture, he will walk through the history of the first composers to arrive in Hollywood in the 1930s — and their legacy that lives on today. John will be sure to tell a little-known story that will illuminate how you watch movies, whether they are the golden age films you see on television or the films of today — and you will never watch a movie the same way again.
