George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) is a major figure of Western theatre: playwright, polemicist, political thinker, social reformer, wit and Irishman who in a long career infuriated, delighted and challenged his readers and audiences worldwide. Richard Digby Day, Vice President of The Shaw Society who has directed more of Shaw’s plays than any living director, returns to The Four Arts to share with you his enthusiasm for the man and his plays.
