Steve Wynn
The Jocelyn and Robin Martin Memorial Lecture

The legendary hotelier Steve Wynn takes the stage at the Four Arts in an exciting season finale. Wynn’s career in business is legendary: as a real estate developer, he oversaw many of the best-known Las Vegas casinos, including the Golden Nugget, The Mirage, Treasure Island and The Bellagio; he went on to found Wynn Resorts, bringing his own namesake hotels to Las Vegas, Macao, and elsewhere. But Wynn’s other passion besides business is equally notable: as a collector of art.  Indeed, Wynn’s eye-popping collection has included works by Monet, Vermeer, Picasso, Turner, Koons, and others. We look forward to a spirited discussion about Wynn’s life in business and in art to close the 2024 O’Keefe Lecture series.

Jocelyn and Robin Martin were both members of the Board of Trustees of The Four Arts, where they enjoyed attending lectures and other events. They resided in Palm Beach and Washington, DC, and were quietly dedicated to helping the residents of both communities. Locally, Jocelyn was a member of the Allocation Committee for the Town of Palm Beach United Way. Robin was a member of the town’s Public Employees Relation Commission; a member of the Town of Palm Beach United Way’s Board of Trustees, the Alexis de Tocqueville Society and Allocation Committee; a director of the Palm Beach Civic Association; and a board member of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
