Mark Rothko’s influence as one of the beacons of modern art cannot be overestimated. During a career that spanned three decades, his epic, abstract method has become instantly recognizable. Rothko’s children, in conversation with Society of the Four Arts President Philip Rylands, will look at key pieces in their father’s catalogue, discuss his legacy, and talk about their lives growing up with the icon that was their dad.

Each season, The Esther B. O'Keeffe Speakers Series features notable speakers from the fields of politics, culture and the media.

All presentations are Tuesdays at 3 p.m. in the Walter S. Gubelmann Auditorium.

Parking at The Four Arts Tuesday afternoons is reserved for members with this season’s parking pass.

For non-members, tickets to each program may go on sale six days before the program, subject to availability. However, parking at The Four Arts is not available Tuesday afternoons for non-members.
