Facilitator: Betse Gori and Amanda Kiernan

Biographies: Betse Gori earned her MLS degree at Simmons College when the Dewey Decimal System was still being used in public schools. She held two library positions in New England before detouring to a 45-year career in hospitality in New England. When the opportunity arose to return to the library world, she took a leap of faith that has brought her a decade of joy, renewal and daily interaction with books and their readers.  Betse lives in West Palm and loves family time, fine dining, and reading.

Amanda Kiernan is the programming librarian at The Society of the Four Arts King Library with over a decade-long experience in the world of libraries. A graduate of Florida State University with a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree, Amanda’s passion for knowledge and learning has driven her to immerse herself in various genres of literature. With avid curiosity, she takes delight in exploring the diverse realms of books to enrich her mind and share her discoveries with the community she serves.

This timeless tale is a moving story of loss and reconciliation, and of one man’s journey to discover what really matters most in life
