Teen Workshop: Lovely Linocuts: Exploring Pattern and Line Through Printmaking

All materials are provided. Appropriate for ages: 12-18

Drawing inspiration from the linework and patterns seen in “The Triumph of Art Nouveau” students will design and carve a small stamp to create their own pattern repeat. The stamp can be used as the full composition, or as a background for another drawing.

At the beginning of the workshop, teens and families will be invited for complimentary admission to the exhibit “The Triumph of Art Nouveau”.

Presenter: Kristin Miller

Biography: Kristin Miller is an artist, educator, and designer living in South Florida. She is the Department Chair of Fine Arts and Graphic Design and a professor of art at Palm Beach State College. Her fine artwork creates habitats, investigates spaces, and delicately layers mixed media materials. Her artwork can be seen at: www.kristinmiller.art
