In Lincoln’s Gamble, Todd Brewster explores the tumultuous six months leading to the Emancipation Proclamation, during which Abraham Lincoln faced fierce opposition from his generals, discord within his cabinet, and his own deep personal doubts.

Biography: Dr. Herbert Sennett spent over thirty years as a classroom teacher and college professor specializing in communication and theatrical arts. At the same time, he served in the United States Army Reserves first as an infantry lieutenant, including a year in combat in Vietnam. He later completed seminary training and served twenty-one years as a chaplain, including nine months on active duty ministering to the families and soldiers at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, while the 24th Infantry Division (over 10,000 soldiers) was in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Sennett holds Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy degrees with academic credentials in Christian ministry, Dramatic Literature, and Performance Studies. He specializes in coaching public speakers and individuals to improve public speaking and interpersonal communication skills. He is also an accomplished public speaker who encourages people to be happier by building self-confidence and friendships.
He has been married to his college sweetheart for more than fifty years. They have two grown children and one grown grandson. Dr. and Mrs. Sennett live in sunny South Florida.
