Biography: Mary Weiss, a West Palm Beach resident, is a retired lawyer who practiced for 40 years in government and as general counsel for a prominent Chicago investment management and brokerage firm. She is an active board member of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. Additionally, she volunteers as a reading tutor with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, combining her passion for education and literacy. In recent years, she has also pursued her love of reading by conducting public interviews with well-known authors of recently released books.
Special Guest Joining Virtually: Dr. Rachel Kreiter
Biography: Rachel P. Kreiter is the curator of the Vanderbilt University Museum of Art. For VUMA, Rachel has curated Gloss: A Measured Response to Recent Video Art (2024) and is co-curating Studentship (2027); research interests concern the art of ancient Egypt and its broader interconnections, especially with (but not limited to) contemporary art and in museums. Dr. Kreiter holds an MFA in curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a doctorate in art history from Emory University.
