Short Story: Make It Black by Andre Dubus III
Make It Black explores the complex emotional landscape of Teresa, a woman reflecting on her life, relationships, and independence after a divorce. Set against vivid depictions of the natural world, the story navigates themes of personal growth, resilience, and the enduring connection between humanity and nature. With a mix of raw honesty and lyrical prose, Dubus crafts an intimate portrait of self-discovery and change.
