Art therapy is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that empowers people to communicate feelings through the creative process of art-making within a therapeutic relationship. Art therapy is used to improve, restore and enhance physical, mental, and emotional functioning and personal wellbeing. Dr. Stephenson, Associate Professor of Expressive Therapies at Lesley University, is a leader in art therapy and creative aging.
