Back after a successful first season is Family Book Club. This program is designed for independently reading school-age children (and their families). Book Clubs further develop literacy skills and encourage not only the sharing of thoughts and opinions but respect amongst readers. Ultimately, our goal for Family Book Club is to learn, grow, and become passionate readers together! Book Club meetings will be facilitated by children’s librarian, Samantha Merigold.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Our Family Book Club program consists of two, one hour, meetings for each preselected book. Readers are expected to attend both programs when making a reservation.
At the first meeting, readers will be given their own copy of the book and begin reading together! Book Club members are expected to finish the book before the second meeting. Participants can enjoy reading their book individually but are encouraged to read aloud and share the story with their families.
ALL book club members should come prepared to contribute, discuss, and have FUN with literature for the second meeting.
Thematic activities and refreshments will be enjoyed during Family Book Club programs.
