In this class we will use natural plants and found objects to make cyanotypes, otherwise known as sun prints. Students will watch as their classic bright blue photograph becomes exposed with the sun. We will experiment with different exposures and objects as well as have the option to add additional layers through colored pencil work.
Presenter: Kristin Miller
Biography: Kristin Miller is an artist, educator, and designer living in South Florida. She has been a professor of art and design at Palm Beach State College since 2011. Her fine artwork creates habitats, investigates spaces of the home and uses natural materials to question narratives through the delicate layering of mixed media materials. Common materials include sewing, hand drawn/sewn text, watercolor, drawing and alternative photography processes.
